Dear Governor Green,
It is time to stop hobnobbing with the oligarchs and start working for the people of Hawaiʻi.
For too long, our islands have been trapped under the military’s economic and land stranglehold while our workers remain imprisoned in the low-wage tourism sector. This is not a future; it is an engineered dependency that robs us of dignity, sovereignty, and resilience.
We need leadership that prioritizes Hawaiʻi first. Leadership that dismantles our forced dependency on the mainland, whose sole purpose seems to be to exploit us and position us as a target on the frontlines of both defensive and offensive military agendas.
Our land, our people, and our future are worth more than serving as a sacrifice zone for corporate ambitions or a playground for billionaires.
I urge you to stand with the people. Break these chains, and begin the work of building a truly self-sufficient Hawaiʻi – one rooted in local agriculture, regenerative industries, and dignified living for all.
